Dwadzieścia lat Filmu Polskiego, 1945-1965: Polska sztuka filmowa przed rokiem 1939 właściwie nie istniała. Prywatne wytwórnie filmowe produkowały przeważnie filmy rozrywkowe bez żadnych wartości ideowych i ambicji artystycznych. Jedyna grupa "START" skupiająca młodych twórców, filmowych wyznawców idei filmu społecznie użytecznego nie miała niestety prawie żadnych możliwósci realizacji swoich planów. Po wojnie dzięki pomocy państwa rozpoczął się rozwój nowej kinematografii polskiej. Do pracy stanęli dawni członkowie "STARTU" oraz młodzi entuzjaści, którzy w praktyce przy kamerze zdobywali filmową wiedzę artystyczną. Dopiero w Polsce Ludowej film zdobył należną mu rangę w dziedzinie sztuki. Opieka państwa, talenty twórców i duże zainteresowanie społeczeństwa, stwarzają warunki dalszego rozwoju polskiego filmu i kinematografii.

Twenty years of Polish Film, 1945-1965: Polish art film before 1939 actually do not exist. Private studios produce movies mostly without any entertainment value of ideological and artistic ambitions. The only group of "START" brings together young artists, film followers of the idea of ​​the film was not socially useful, unfortunately, almost no ability to implement their plans. After the war, with the help of the state began the development of new Polish cinema. To work stood former members of the "START" and young enthusiasts who, in practice, the camera acquired knowledge of film art. Only in Poland, the film won the People's rightful rank in the field of art. Health state talents of artists and great interest in society, creating conditions for further development of Polish film and cinematography.
