Uniwersytet im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu (zał. w 1945 r.) był pierwszą wyższą uczelnią na Pomorzu. W ostatnich latach województwo wzbogaciło się o jeszcze jedną a mianowicie - Wyższą Szkołę lnżynierską w Bydgoszczy. Na wszechnicy toruńskiej studiuje ponad 5 tysięcy młodzieży. University Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (est. 1945) was the first institution of higher education in Pomerania. In recent years the region was enriched with another namely - Higher School of lnżynierską in Bydgoszcz. of the Visitors Torun studying more than 5,000 young people.
