This black-and-white aerial photograph shows an urban area combining residential neighborhoods, industrial zones, and undeveloped land. Dense housing laid out in a grid pattern fills the upper and lower portions of the image. A major rail line cuts diagonally across the center, with trains and tracks visible. On the left and bottom center, large excavation areas and open lots dominate, featuring irregularly shaped clearings and mounds. Industrial buildings and complexes are located near the rail line, while smaller residential blocks surround them. The lower right corner is labeled “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.,” and the upper right bears the number “8226-222.”
