Group portrait photograph of the all-female members of the Silver Creek Shakespeare Club celebrating its 50th anniversary in 1939. Members are seated at long, neatly set tables inside a café or dining hall, many looking toward the camera, with curtained windows and floral centerpieces in the background. Founded in 1889, the membership of the Silver Creek Shakespeare Club was composed exclusively of women by 1895 and thereafter.
