Description
Tape of an itnerview with Roblin conducted by Brenda K. Shelton, May 22, 1979. Concerns his background; his wife's career; UB Foundation; Amherst Campus; and the interaction between faculty and Buffalo Community.
Interviewer's Observations: Mr. Roblin was courteous and gracious, but he is a busy man and he clearly looked at the interview as an obligation to be taken care of as quickly as possible. I sensed that there was much more that he could have said had he wanted, particularly about the new campus and the decision to build it in Amherst; there was a definite suggestion of amusement in his face and voice when we talked about that subject. There was an interruption when some people came into the room, and then at the end when his secretary told him about an important phone call, and he told me that he felt we had covered the ground sufficiently.
