Title
[Poetry reading at the University at Buffalo, April 21, 1969] / Diane Wakoski.
Description
Recorded at the Norton Conference Theatre, University at Buffalo on April 21, 1969 at 3 p.m. on a 7 inch Scotch reel-to-reel tape.
Poet Diane Wakoski reads her poetry in a noisy University at Buffalo room and is interupted often by a public announcements speaker. Wakoski reads her poems about George Washington and Ludwig von Beethoven. She also provides an anecdote from her teaching. She recalls how the poem "An apology" was inspired by criticizing a student's poetry by saying it was an imitation of Robert Creeley's because he had been one of Creeley's students.
