Recorded at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. on November 11, 1971 on a 90 minute Scotch cassette. Recorded by Allen De Loach for the Poetry Collection.

Recording begins with Allen and Joan De Loach speaking with an unidentified man in a casual conversation. Di Prima is introduced to the Canisius College audience by an unnamed professor at the end of track 2. She reads her poetry and provides many anecdotes about her life, her relationships, her politics and her writing. She reads "The poet" which is about a time when Gregory Corso was staying at her home.
