Recording begins with an unidentified group of men talking about Lord Tewkesbury. Track 2 begins the poetry reading by Diane Di Prima. She provides anecdotes for each poem she reads and talks about her life in New York City with other Beat poets. She reads a poem which she has never read and just recently typed up about an abortion she did not want to have called Brass furnace going out: song after an abortion. She reads from: Dinners and nightmares, Revolutionary letters, The calculus of variation and her other early books. Reading ends abruptly with Allen De Loach speaking with an unnamed man at track 7 on disc 2.
