Title
[Lecture] / Allen Ginsberg.
Description
There is no information on the recording. Recorded possibly off of public radio in the 1970s. The Poetry Collection held a 7 inch reel-to-reel tape of the recording.
Recording is introduced by an unnamed man who plays two recordings of modern poets before starting the Ginsberg lecture. He plays Ezra Pound's Cantico del sole and William Carlos Williams' The Botticellian trees. Then the narrator plays Allen Ginsberg's lecture to Minneapolis Public School teachers on the development of modern American poetry from 1905. Ginsberg speaks about the poetry of Pound, Olson, Williams and Yeats.
