Recorded at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. on February 13, 1986 by Canisius College on a 90 minute Maxell sound cassette tape by Paul Hogan, who donated the recording.
Philip Collins, an English scholar at the forefront of Dickens studies, reads The trial from The Pickwick papers on February 13, 1986. The performance was eventually aired on Paul Hogan's show "Spoken Arts Radio" on WBFO FM88 on March 2, 1986.
