Following announcements and a ten minute introduction by Charles Bernstein, American philosopher Stanley Cavell reads his prose. "Authority, tradition and the future of the discipline" is an excerpt from his contribution to the Founding of the Whitney Humanities Center. A twenty minute question and answer session follows. Lecture was part of the Wednesdays at 4 Plus poetry reading series.
