Title
[Poetry reading, October 14, 1975] / Bobbie Louise Hawkins.
Description
Recorded in possibly Alfred, N.Y. on October 14, 1975 on a 120 minute Studio sound cassette by Allen De Loach for the Poetry Collection, University at Buffalo.
Fiction writer, monologist, performer and poet Bobbie Louise Hawkins performs a traditional poetry reading. Audio becomes poor at 49 min., 24 sec. At 50 minutes into recording an unidentified young man, possibly Allen De Loach, reads poetry for a few minutes. Second disc starts after the poet's mid-reading break in the middle of poem being read by Hawkins. Shortly after a break, poet re-reads several poems which leads cataloger to believe this disc is composed of two separate readings that the recorded, De Loach, put on the same tape.
