Following announcements and a five minute introduction by Charles Bernstein, New Zealand poet, critic, and editor Wystan Curnow performs his poetry reading and shows slides. Curnow performs poetry from Back in the USA and Cancer daybook, and an upcoming work he titles The lives of the artists. He was serving as a visiting professor and a Poetics fellow at the University of Buffalo during the reading. Recording ends abruptly at the end of track 8, then resumes.
