Description
Recorded for the series A Moveable Feast by producer and interviewer Paul Vitale. Presented on WBFO FM 88's Spoken Arts Radio Program by Paul Hogan as sponsored by Just Buffalo Literary Center.
Poetry reading and interview with Robert Bly. During his interview with Paul Vitale, Bly discusses meditation, iambic pentameter, rhyme, and the use of sound in the composition of poetry. He also challenges the academic opposition to prose poetry and encourages leaping poetry which jumps from the physical world to the psychic or idea world. Bly discusses his understanding of the American community of poets which is more academic and the South American community of poets which is rooted more in national grief and politics.
