Following a three minute introduction by Oscar Silverman, American poet, essayist and feminist Adrienne Rich performs her poetry. Rich also reads translations from modern Dutch poets. She reads from the Necessities of life and Snapshots of a daughter-in-law. Reading is sponsored by the Charles Abbott Reading Fund and the Friends of Lockwood Memorial Library.
