Recorded at the Millard Fillmore Room in Norton Union at the University at Buffalo on April 11, 1968 at 8 p.m. Recorded by the Poetry Collection on a 7 inch Scotch reel-to-reel tape.
Following a brief monologue by an unnamed man, Max Wickert introduces University at Buffalo graduate and poet, Milton Kessler. Kessler reads poems from A road came once (1963) and Called home (1967). Reading was sponsored by the University at Buffalo, the Department of English, the Friends of Lockwood Library and the Charles Abbott Reading Fund.
