Recorded on a 7 inch Knight reel-to-reel tape. The logistics of the Dylan Thomas reading are unidentified. It is not clear if Logan, the owner of the tape, recorded the reading from a record or if he recorded the reading live during a Thomas reading in the United States in the 1950s. John Logan's reading was recorded at Stephen Facet's home in Boston on April 21, 1961.

Recording of poetry readings was made and owned by John Logan. Disc 1 features a recorded a spirited reading by Dylan Thomas. The logistics of the reading are unidentified. Thomas discusses his early education, early poems and his views, sometimes comical, on reading the works of fellow modern British poets. Disc 2 features a poetry reading by John Logan. He reads from Cycle for Mother Cabrini, Ghosts of the heart, and from the manuscript for Spring of the thief.
