Description
Two-sided cardboard piece submitted as part of the Youth and Mail Art Project created by Carlo Pittore. Its front is constructed from cardboard and construction paper,presenting a red-and-white gingham fabric featuring a black-and-white photo of two crying toddlers, surrounded by colorful smiley-face stickers, decorative labels, a silver ribbon, and various illustrated cutout images and stickers in a collage-like presentation. The back is constructed from patterned paper, stickers and cutout images. U.S. postage stamps are affixed. A collage-style envelope covered with numerous bird postage stamps, vintage photos and illustrations, labels, and international postal stickers, addressed to a youth mail art recipient in Belgium. Mail art recipient: Luce Fierens.
