Description
Mail art piece is a postcard made of cardboard with a white front, decorated with homemade paper, colored pencil, rubber ink stamps, and U.S. postage stamps. A decorated envelope mailed from creator “V. Racer, 129–163rd Street North, East Moline, IL 61244” to “Luce Fierens, Boterstraat 63, Hombeek, Belgium.” The envelope features colorful hand-drawn and stamped artwork, including a stylized face with red lips and yellow hair on textured paper. Additional text includes “Delicious for the Holidays” and “RUBBER STAMPING PASSION HEARTS ETC.” in red lettering. A U.S. airmail stamp of William T. Piper, labeled “Aviation Pioneer USA Airmail 40,” is placed in the upper right corner and postmarked “30 JAN 1992.” Mail art recipient: Luce Fierens.
