Description
Two-sided paper mail art piece, created by Nancy Griswold, as part of the Millennium Mail Art Project. It consists of handmade paper decorated with paints on the front and back. The front of the piece features a mixed-media drawing of a face rendered in loose lines and muted washes of color, with areas of red, yellow, and gray. The back side serves as an addressed mail art envelope, painted with a black and blue background and a handwritten return address text in light blue ink reading:
“Nancy Griswold
561 Sam de Champlain
Boucherville, QU, J4B 6B6"
and address as follows:
"Millenium Mail Art Project
Ragged Edge Press
102 Sutton Street
New York, NY 10038, USA.”
A 46-cent Canadian postage stamp featuring a red maple leaf flag is affixed to the back's upper right corner. The paper shows signs of wear, including tears and creases along the edges. Mail art recipient: Sticker Dude.
