View of the Darwin D. Martin House Complex construction as of January 22, 1905 showing the interior of the conservatory toward the ornamental pool (prior to the installation of the Winged Victory sculpture)
The image shows an indoor garden or conservatory area with a central walkway flanked by raised concrete planters filled with various plants and flowers. At the end of the walkway, there is a small octagonal fountain centered in the space. Tall brick pillars line both sides, supporting a roof structure with large windows or skylights that allow natural light to enter. The architectural style features clean lines and geometric shapes, giving the area an orderly and symmetrical appearance.
