Description
Act 1, scene 2a, Design: Nicola Benois, Director: Visconti
The stage features large painted backdrops of stone buildings with crenelated towers, arched gateways, and detailed windows. Several people dressed in historical garments like tunics and doublets are positioned across the courtyard, some standing and others sitting on steps. A dark, decorative curtain frames the top and sides of the performance area.
