A piece of stationery from the Terrace Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio, contains a handwritten message in blue cursive ink. The note is addressed to Warren Perry and reads "all my compliments and greetings" followed by the signature "Mary Garden." The date "1949." appears at the bottom left of the light-colored paper.
