Dear Doctor:
We have played
with that title so often that
I can not be serious with
it. but I am so glad for
you. God bless the Curators
from this day forth. My
Preceptor was there. He sat
on the platform with the
Professors. He said Mip Morehouse
stood in front of
him when she received
her diploma. So you may
remember him
I think you did well taking
all things into consideration
doing your own work washing
and all. It was too bad
anyway.
My Preceptor was elected
president of the association
So you attended the
banquet? Do tell me all
about it when you get
time. I have not heard
from my sister by letter
tho she sent me Mr [Shermans?]
photo. + a paper.
Mip Knapp has written [+]
S—. Mr Campbell dont
you think. He said the
faculty would not give
him his diploma till
next December as his time
was not up. so he with
drew from [?]. tho he said
he made 34 points in those
he took. (five branches)
I was surprised of course
to hear from him. He takes
the Spring Course. I don't admire
him but I have reasons
to respect him.
I do not see how Spencer
& [Griew?] got through.
Crowley too. + many others
Mip. Rhodes did not go up
I judge. She & I will look
nicely together next year.
If she goes up there (I doubt
it.)
I suppose you retire at 7-
& sleep till 12. I hope so.
If you are not sick in bed
at this moment I shall be
glad.
It seems rather strange
to be living like "White Folks"
once more. I should think
you would often hear my
melodious [?] voice asking "Did
you put any salt in the potatoes
Now do write & tell me "Vat
ye doin?" Does your face
shine with pleasure? I hope
so. Dont get blue under
any considerations. Try &
cultivate my loving lovely
disposition. I never cry Sunday
night when you are hungry.
Our Winter together
was pleasant after all. There
was much more of sunshine
than storm.
Do write soon. Remember me
to your people. & be sure +
prescribe Camphoreti Linctura
Opii to your first patient
with much love.
Louise
Mother is much
better
[You?] might down
[grhn???e] [?] have your
leg taken off.
Mip M. was
dressed in white
How did you like
that eh?
