My Darling Girl-
I have tried
to answer your kind
letter every day since
I received it but Mother
has been sick and
I have been so busy
and tired. Now my
dear I am very happy
to know of what to is to occur
soon. and for all that
I know now I can come
to you at that time
I should be more than
willing to come “free
gratis” if I could - but
if you will pay my
traveling expenses. I
will be very glad to
come to you I am
more than anxious to
hug my dear little
name sake-
I regret so much
to hear of your friends
death. Was she with
you when “Louise” was
born? I wish I could
see + talk with you
about it.
I was in Pitts
-burg four weeks - a short time
ago - went to assist with an [?]
was taken sick with La Grippe but
made fifty dollars + my expenses
and had a pleasant time
Thanks for your straightfulness about
the merchant if you think there is
danger of losing him chloroform
him at my expense - I still see Mr
Thompson occasionally went with him
to hear “Keene” in Richelieu a week ago
and before that to
hear Romeo & Juliet
played by Julia Marlowe
