My beloved friend:
If it is
a possible thing. I am
intending to visit you. I am
some better. but my heart
is very rapid. and I have
lost weight till I am down
to 94. but I do so wish
to see you. My sister's
grandson was graduated
from high school. as I
bought a car for a present
for his graduation [?] [?]
younger and in good health
I would drive–but that
I will write again if it is possible
for me to come. but if we come do
not make a bit of extra work
Let me find you just as we
lived at Schef pastimes. When you
need to run in the bedroom and
lock the door and learn me
to "tustle" with the old lady
about the kindling and I remem
ber how I came home one day
and found you washing down
the stairs and how you slapped
the cloth down on the stairs.
is out of the question so he
takes me out for a drive
Every day. The car is a
Studebaker and very easy
riding. I had an Electric
car when my husband was
living but I sold it after
his death.
My nephews name is
Downer Packwood. He is
nineteen and such a nice
boy. What a great sorrow
it is for you to have your
son so far away. I do so
hope for his recovery.
