Dear Mrs Ames:--
I have some
sad news for you, my dear sister
left us October 26th She just
went to sleep as she had always
hoped she might.
Her heart was so fast and nothing
seemed to quiet it for long.
The way looks very dark and lonely
ahead for me, but I am Thankful
I could be with her as she wished
She enjoyed your letters and we
had planned a visit to you so
many times
I hope I shall see you sometime
meanwhile do write me when
you have time. I want to keep
in touch with you. Louise
loved you and prized your
friendship
I shall stay here at "27" for
a time and will let you
know if I make a change
Dr was so glad for you that
your son is getting better.
Much love to you from
Your most sincerely
