A large, multi-tiered pagoda-style structure stands at the top of a set of wide stairs on a theatrical stage. Figures wearing elaborate robes and decorative headpieces are positioned across the steps and on the structure's balcony levels. One individual in a light-colored outfit stands prominently in the center of the stairs while others sit in the foreground with their backs to the viewpoint. The monochromatic scene uses lighting to highlight the details of the costumes and the architectural set against a dark background.
