Title
Inset marble panels in Amber Fort
Description
The symmetry, abstract flowers and other design features are typical for Indian palaces at the height of the Mughal Empire (~1575). Although significant power was vested in the Emperor, who ruled from Delhi, regional leaders spent much of their wealth on ornate palaces.
