Miss Anne Morgan, New York philanthropist and an advocate of women's causes, lectured at the Twentieth Century Club of Buffalo on the 'unfinished fight in France' regarding relief efforts and the reconstruction of that country after World War I. She was the daughter of famous American financier J.P. Morgan and the sister of J.P. Morgan, Jr., banker, finance executive and philanthropist. Anne Morgan was treasurer of the American Fund for the French Wounded and organized CARD (Committee for Devastated France) in 1917. In 1932, she was the first American woman appointed a commander of the French Legion of Honor.
