Description
In 1989, the removal of the Berlin Wall allowed restoration of major monuments to their original locations, including by the Brandenburg Gate. This statue dates from the Communist Period.
The sign in the photograph reads "Attention! You are now leaving west Berlin". Text below the photograph reads, "The new Victoria being transported across the sector boundary to the Brandenburg gate."
