Polychrome crucifix inside Magdeburg Cathedral
Description
Although the cathedral is Protestant, the city of Magdeburg joined the Reformation soon after Luther posted the 95 Theses. The cathedral escaped significant damange when Magdeburg was sacked in 1631, but was heavily damaged in World War II. It was restored by 1955.
