1949 political parties campaign posters
Dating from 1949, when West Germany held its first election, both the poster for the SPD [the Socialist Party of Germany] and the CDU [Christian Democratic Union] emphasize, in words and by maps, that post-WW2 occupation must end and that the country should be reunified. The posters are displayed inside the transparent dome of the Reichstag, Germany's parliament.
