Władysław II Jagiełło, King of Poland, 1350 or 1351-1434--Tomb
Description
Elaborate tomb enclosed by four dark marble columns topped with Corinthian-style capitals and supporting rounded arches. A reclining effigy rests atop the sarcophagus beneath a coffered canopy. In the background, a stone screen with pointed arches and slender columns is partially visible. Architectural elements suggest a richly decorated interior, likely a chapel or cathedral.
