This is a promotional ad for "health food". It was advertised in the Ladies Home Journal and centered around Dold's products being "faultless".
An advertisement for Dold’s Niagara Hams and Bacon, produced by The Jacob Dold Packing Co. of Buffalo, New York. The ad features large text reading “Faultless Food Makes Perfect Health” and promotes the use of corn-fed porkers. Two wrapped meat products, labeled “Hams” and “Bacon,” are pictured prominently. Additional text emphasizes that the meats are specially cured, carefully prepared, and inspected by a U.S. government officer. A circular seal with “Dold’s Niagara” is shown as a brand mark.
