Description

Letter written to Holcomb, Greency, and Dewey by Hoek, the Division Engineer. The letter states that the Railroad Company will not observe Railroad Day at the Pan-American Exposition as a holiday.
A typed letter dated September 11, 1901, on letterhead from the Lehigh Valley Railroad, Office of the Division Engineer in Buffalo, N.Y. The letter, addressed to three individuals, states that the company decided not to observe Railroad Day at the Pan-American Exposition as a holiday. It instructs that regular work should not be interrupted but allows leave of absence if it does not affect safety or operations. It also notes no free transportation will be granted. Signed at the bottom by J. Vander Hoek, Division Engineer.
