An entrance into country

Gates -- Poland

A large arched gate with a pointed, tiled roof stands as a central element in this symmetrical building. The arch is tall and pointed, framing a tree and a figure standing by a small gate beyond the opening. The structure is flanked by two lower, attached wings with narrow arched windows or recesses. Trees border the scene on both sides, and the ground in front of the gate appears muddy. The lighting suggests overcast or diffused daylight.
