Sepia-toned photographic portrait of architect Louise Blanchard Bethune from Page 8 of a tintype and cabinet card album of the Bethune family, circa 1875. The image shows Louise Blanchard Bethune seated in profile on an ornate chair, wearing dark, layered 19th-century clothing and a hat decorated with small embellishments. She rests her hands on a small table. The portrait is contained within a decorative cards tock mount featuring gold-toned border designs and a handwritten signature below the image which reads: 'J.L. Bethune'.
