            Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
This aerial photograph shows a dense urban grid of residential neighborhoods intersected by major rail infrastructure. In the center and left portions, long rows of houses follow a rectangular street grid. A large railyard with multiple parallel tracks cuts through the middle, with several sidings, freight buildings, and warehouses visible. The top right quadrant is darker, partially obscured by shadows or smoke. At the bottom, additional industrial facilities and open yards appear alongside more rail connections. The photo is labeled “8226-69” in the top right and “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.” along the bottom.
