            Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
This aerial photograph captures a densely built residential neighborhood laid out in a rectangular grid pattern across the center and upper portion of the image. To the left and lower left, expansive railroad yards with multiple sets of tracks and a roundhouse facility dominate the landscape. Several large industrial buildings are visible in the lower right and central areas, adjacent to rail spurs. Toward the right side of the image, a winding river curves through open land and partially wooded banks, separating residential areas from industrial zones. Patches of cleared or undeveloped land appear throughout, contrasting with the dense housing. The photo is marked “8226-75” in the upper right and labeled “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.” at the bottom.
