19th-century public fountain, Paris

Standing outside the famous English-language bookstore 'Shakespeare and Company,' this fountain once had cups attached for drinking. The bookstore became a center for writers such as James Joyce, Ernest Hemingway and Ezra Pound in the 1920s.
