Description
Two figures, clothed in flowing garments, face one another in an embrace under a luminous full moon. Red roses and stylized lines frame the figures in the upper background. The lower portion of the composition features the gold-lettered inscription: “TWO RED ROSES ACROSS THE MOON.” Signed “Margaret Macdonald 1897” in the lower right.
