Description
In August of 1978, after heavy rains, numerous holes and metal pieces started to appear in the disintegrating clay cap over the former Love Canal, Niagara Falls, New York.
A large hole in the ground surrounded by dry, rocky soil. The opening is irregularly shaped, with loose dirt and small stones scattered around its edges.
