Description
A quiet residential street is shown after rainfall, with wet pavement reflecting the overcast sky. On the right side of the street, a row of single-story homes is partially enclosed by a chain-link fence which is part of the Love Canal Chemical Landfill site, Niagara Falls, New York. Leafless trees line both sides of the street, and telephone poles with overhead wires run parallel to the road. There are no visible people or vehicles, and the scene has a subdued, somber tone.
