Description
A group of people, including Lois Gibbs, Ed Begley, Jr. and Patricia A. Brown, are engaged in a rally against the resettlement of the Love Canal area organized by the Clearinghouse for Hazardous Wastes. They stand near a chain-link fence covered in protest signs related to toxic waste and chemical exposure. Prominent messages include “Toxic chemicals are not healthy for children and other living things.” One person holds a large black wreath decorated with ribbon, while others nearby look on or post additional signs to the fence. The event appears to take place outdoors during early spring as participants are dressed in coats and jackets.
