Description
Used to store pharmaceutical/drug preparation
Greek key design with japanned tin lid. Marked: TINCT: ZIN GIB:FT
A dark glass drug jar with a cylindrical body and short neck is shown against a plain background. The jar features a decorative band with a gold geometric pattern around the neck. A worn paper label on the front reads “TINCT: ZIN GIB:FT,” indicating the contents as a tincture preparation. The deep amber or black glass would have helped protect the medicine inside from light, a common feature of historical pharmaceutical containers.
