This aerial photograph shows a densely built residential area surrounding a large rail yard and industrial complex. A broad expanse of parallel train tracks extends through the lower half of the image, with switching yards and sidings branching out. At the top left, a large industrial facility with long rectangular buildings and a circular rail turntable is visible. The housing grid dominates most of the upper half of the image, with streets laid out in a tight rectangular pattern. A diagonal rail line cuts across the center of the image, connecting the yard to nearby tracks. The photo is labeled “8226-132” in the upper right corner and marked “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.” at the bottom.
