Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
This aerial photograph depicts a largely rural landscape with farmland divided into rectangular plots. A river with meandering curves runs along the left side of the image. In the upper section, there are clusters of houses and small buildings, while most of the central and lower areas are open fields. Several railroad lines intersect across the middle and right portions of the image, converging into a complex junction. Additional smaller roads intersect the fields, forming a loose grid. In the lower right corner, a rail yard turntable is faintly visible. The photo number “8226-5” is handwritten in the top right corner, with “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.” printed at the bottom.
