Title
Crucifixion, San Marco, Florence
Description
This dramatic crucifixion scene was painted by Fra Angelico, at the Friary of San Marco outside Florence. He lived there from 1436 to 1445, where he was given responsibility for artistic creations. Fra Angelico was noted for his realistic depiction of Biblical figures. Note how people around the feet of the crosses appear like "regular" human beings.
