Description
Professor Welch by Rhine, with Maus Castle in background. Maus Castle, or Thurnberg, was the most-frequented residence of the electors of Trier. Its nickname, Maus Castle, comes from the legend that its 14th-century inhabitants spied on a neighboring stronghold like "cat and mouse."
